I graduated from Clemson University in 2006, with an undergraduate degree in special education. I also have my general education teaching certificate, and gifted education certification. I pursued education to teach all ends of the spectrum, because I truly believe that EVERY child can learn if they are provided differentiated, engaging strategies for helping them reach their potential! I have taught special education in fourth and second grades, and am now teaching a general education second grade class of 24 brilliant little owls!
If I had not become a teacher, I would have pursued a career in some kind of graphic design! I LOVE to create, draw, doodle, paint, design, etc. I am constantly making new projects, activities, and games for my students, to keep them engaged in their learning.
When I'm not in the classroom or creating new "stuff" for my little owls, I'm with my family! If it's a Saturday in the Fall, we're watching college football. My blood runs Orange and Purple, I'm All In for my Clemson Tigers!
